Roofing sales systems

Roofing estimating software solves a different job than CRM

Estimating tools help build or calculate the proposed work. CRM tools manage the relationship, communication, pipeline and follow-up around that estimate.

  • Measurements and quantities
  • Labor / material pricing
  • Proposal creation
  • Handoff into CRM follow-up
Editorial boundary: CRM and sales automation are not automatically a replacement for roofing measurements, takeoffs, specialized estimating, job costing, material ordering or production management.

Do not force one category to do another's job

A CRM can track that an estimate was sent without being the system that calculates roof measurements, material quantities or insurance pricing.

Likewise, an estimating tool can generate an excellent proposal without giving the sales team a strong reactivation or multi-channel follow-up system.

The useful integration point

The most important handoff is often estimate status: draft, sent, viewed where available, revised, accepted or declined. That status should create the appropriate next action in the sales system.

If the integration is manual, make the stage update part of the rep's standard process.

Examples of roofing-native depth

Roofr publishes measurement reports, proposals, material ordering and CRM functions. ProLine publishes quoting and production features. AccuLynx publishes estimates, contracts, aerial measurement integrations and broader business management.

Those capabilities are materially different from a general-purpose CRM focused on front-end sales and automation.

Sources checked

Product facts and pricing are especially time-sensitive. Sources were checked for this build on October 1, 2026.
